Athea Road Race Club does their bit for Road Racing.

At the recent Faugheen 50 road races, members of The Athea Road Race Club presented a cheque for €800 to The MCI Medical Team. This money was raised at a successful Martin Finnegan Memorial Poker Run, which was held on May 3rd last. The Late Martin Finnegan was a devote supporter of the MCI Medical Team. Athea Road Race Club would like to thank everyone who supported this run and we look forward to your continued support. The club would also like to thank Joe Connolly at www.bigjoephotos.eu for use of his photos from the cheque presentation.

Athea Road Race Club are proud to announce that a feature relating to our Road Races which occurred on June 27th & 28th last, will be televised by Nationwide on Sunday July 26th @ 6.30pm on RTE 1. This is another first for the club, and we would like to thank Marian & Matt from Matt Kelly Productions for all their work and co-operation in relation to this. The club would like to thank all who aided in making this possible.
